WHAT IS KONG® DAY?

"All Dogs Need to Play", so Kong created KONG Day to celebrate the connection we have with our pets and the importance of play. From working dogs to shelter dogs and the traditional family pet, Kong is celebrating all dogs on August 4th and through the month of August!

When they say "All Dogs Need to Play", they especially mean rescue animals in shelters. Enrichment plays a crucial part in keeping shelter pets mentally and physically engaged each day in their kennels and play yards, and it gives them a sense of worth. The wait for adoption can be long, and shelter pets need an outlet for curiosity, play, and overall happiness. KONG toys offer positive stimulation, bringing joy to animals in kennels, showcasing their unique personalities and playstyles to potential adopters, and ultimately boosting adoption rates.

KONG partners with shelters across the world, donating KONG toys to dogs and cats eagerly awaiting their forever homes. They work closely with pet retailers, like Benson's Pet Center, on programs and campaigns that bring even more toys to shelters and rescue groups globally.
